      About Our Style

      Ho Kuk Mu Sul

Ho Kuk Mu Sul is a hard/soft style of martial arts that is as beautiful to watch as it is efficient to use. It incorporates the principles of Flowing Water (Yu), Harmony (Hwa) and the Circle (Won). This traditional system is a comprehensive mix or styles that includes components of Hapkido (joint locks), Judo (throwing/falling), Tae Kwon Do(kicking/punching), Kung Fu(flowing circular attacks) and Tai Chi(Ki training). Our program teaches practical self defense while standing, on the ground, against weapons and multiple attackers. We teach pressure point attacks so that you can choose how much (or how little) damage will be caused in disabling your opponent.
All classes are all ages and all levels, so you can be there to encourage and support your family while facing the challenges of Martial Arts training. You will feel a revitalized quest for overcoming challenges in other areas of your life as well, and learn that most problems are actually opportunities for self improvement. Classes are ongoing and can be joined at any time.

      Hyungs

are a choreographed set of kicks, strikes, and motions orchestrated in a specific order. It is essential for "learning how to learn." Practicing Hyungs gets students used to thinking about coordination, stance, balance, flow and momentum. Techniques - The best fight is the quickest one that ends with the least amount of damage. Techniques provide a defense against many different types of attacks including grabs, punches, kicks, and a variety of other possibilities. Each technique ends with controlling and disabling your attacker quickly and efficiently.

      Ki Training

Achieving proper breathing and chi power is fundamental in improving martial arts skills as well as enjoying increased well-being. Even if you spent 10 hours a day kicking and punching, you still spend 24 hours a day breathing! Ki training will help you calm yourself and relieve stress.
